Most of us have benefited from invaluable opportunities others gave us early in our careers. Introships are an organized way to pay that forward. In addition, participating businesses get to nominate students into the program- could be daughters or sons of principals, employees or customers. If you give your time to the program, you have input into who gets to enjoy the combined product of all those that participate. Finally, you just might meet some students along the way that you want to to be interns or employees down the road. Getting an early look at talent in the pipeline is a valuable thing.
